I just don't understand the fuss. I mean, how will those poor allergies ever learn to be anything if we don't allow them to get an education.....

*please note, I do understand the seriousness of food allergies, that's not what I'm making fun of.

CA, what do you do for work?

Bowwow, I have been afraid to open that thread. My cousin's son is allergic to any and all nuts and he and his wife are fairly rabid about the subject.

You got it, babe.

Not that I blame them, mind you. His allergy is really severe and he could very easily die. I can empathize due to my bee sting allergy.

*note to self: do not complain about MN dept of labor and industry where CA can see me

Why? I gripe about my job and the trained monkeys/drama llamas here. I'm on the unemployment side, trust me, I hear EVERYTHING....

Y'know, if my child were that allergic I'd be tempted to keep them home. Peanut butter was a staple of my daughter's lunch until she had a classmate that could DIE from the smell of peanut butter. She was scared of peanut butter for ages, for fear her breath could kill some unexpected person in a store. That's quite a weight to put on other kids, as well as teachers. If my kids were allergic to peanut butter I'd take them to live near an Amish community in the middle of nowhere and wrap them in non-latex bubble wrap.

Think that comment would get me banned?
