Have I told you all my toddler has started crowing? In the morning when all the neighbors' roos are going off, and mine are answering back, he'll stand at the the back door and crow. Hysterical.

(buff---watch your jokes, we're talking about my kid here)

If he sees an animal on TV he recognizes, he'll make the sounds and imitate it. Cuteness personified.

at the rate this week is going I won't be able to eat, at all, next week.

Batty, what can we do for you?

win the lottery or buy a horse. I don't care which. but I need some cash flow in as opposed to out which is what is going on now.

From LareeLand:

Got up this morning before the sun, and was working in the yard by 4:30. All the neighborhood roos were going nuts (like normal).

From the coop I hear Patchwork, "RAH ra-Rah ROOOOOO!!!!"
From the run I hear Cinnabun (he likes to sleep outside), "Ra ra-Ra ra-Ra ra-RooOOOOOOOOO!!!"

[short pause]

From the turkey/chick brooder I hear the MF D'uccle, "Beep-bo-beep Boooo!"

The other roos in the neighborhood just laaaaaauuughed.

That's why I have all d'Uccles and silkies. They don't mock one another. You shoulda head LadyHawk laugh when she heard them all crowing, though.

I got up this morning with an aching head and jaw. The dentist did a real number on my tooth yesterday. Luckily it didn't break, though. So now it has a temp crown until the permanent one is ready. Irony: the cost difference between a crown and having it pulled was less than $100. Reason being, the tooth was so fragile that it couldn't handle being pulled and she'd have had to 'dig out' the root.

As it was, I smelled smoke more than once and cringed when she laughed about creating a fountain in there (blood?). No wonder I feel like crap.
Also, she said I gave her quite a workout since I was so tense. DUH! Who wouldn't be tense with smoke coming out of their mouth? She swears it wasn't smoke, though.

I like my dentist, I really do. She has dainty lady hands and is a nice person.
It's not my fault she didn't listen when I told her the previous dentist said using nitros on me added years to his life. If she doesn't approve of nitros then she can wrassle with my jaw and get bitten a time or two. Her choice.

Thanks you. I'm seriously looking forward to going home, taking as assortment of meds and 'watching' a movie with DD. I will actually sleep through the movie, of course. Even if it is Carrie.

I was craving a red delicious apple for breakfast this morning, but forgot to bring a knife with me. I'm glad their were no witnesses as I tried to open my mouth wide enough to dent the apple. I gnawed on that dang apple until I was finally able to eat it. It was... delicious! And painful LOL.

Yogurt is a much more sensible choice.

And oat meal.

Apples, or pork barbeque with corn chips, not so much. And yet that's been my last 2 meals

Sensible is sooooo not my middle name <sigh>
I keep telling myself I can NOT have popcorn during the movie time that I'm actually awake. I'm not sure I'm listening though... Guess it will depend on the meds.

Hi kids. Back to the grind. Trying to get some stuff done. Raining like crazy outside so I'm afraid my sales will continue to suck. Balanced my account last night and discovered I entered the same deposit twice. Oh yeah, I majorly screwed the pooch on this one. Anyone got 1500 laying around?

Think I need to find out about Jeff's medical stuff. I called the hospital and they said they have no worker's comp claim on record. I'm thinking this will be an uphill battle. But we have to do something. He has daily headaches and has difficulty being upright for more than 4 hours before the pain starts. What is he supposed to do? He's only 33???

Send the rain here. We're 8" below normal.

Do you have paperwork from the initial incident/injury for Jeff? Did he go to the hosp or doc office after the injury? If doctor, go back to the office of the worker comp doc they sent him to and request a follow up. If not, contact HR where he was working at the time of the injury and let them know that he's having lingering issues. Surely they have a record of the incident?

He went to the ER via ambulance. so there is record there. However, I know they didn't file the comp claim at the farm. So it's probably gonna be an up hill battle at this point.

Ouch. Might be time to check into one of those ambulance chasers that advertise on TV.
Does the farm have the capital to be any help finanacially if you do?
Do they have a reputable insurance provider?

Worker comp cases are a royal pain and take ages to resolve. Did the hospital refer Jeff to anyone for follow-up care?
