It would have to be at the correct humidity, right?

unfortunately not. The store doesn't have that kind of "yard" available. Maybe in the future though. Something to think about.

Here are the pics of the temporary turkey pen and the two (girl?) turkey poults. The boys were to busy being crazy to hold still for the camera.

I haven't seen her here yet. She posted on facebook about an hour ago. And yes, I'd imagine she is. She loved that bird.

Oh hell. Cynthia is going to be heartbroken, too.

I'm sorry, I try to keep my rantings to a minimum in here, I really do, but this time I just have to scream a little bit. I just dont understand the lack of maturity a 50 year old woman can have!

There are over 100 employees where I work. We have all been in limbo the last year due to remodeling of the courthouse that we moved in to. The old courtrooms and judges offices were converted into cubicle spaces. They worked with the existing floorplan as much as possible to cut down on costs. My unit, the 4 of us, were actually moved to a different building across town to make room for shuffling other workers as their areas were hit by the remodel. The supervisors made it very clear from the get-go that no one gets to make special requests for seating, that units would be seated together, and even if our coworkers were ok with it, we are not allowed to swap cubes. Well, the financial workers who take adult-only cases are a much larger unit that my unit of family workers. They were put in a room with a solid wall of windows that holds all of them. My smaller unit, was placed in an old judges' chambers, which happens to be the "corner office" but it is spacially correct for our unit size. The adult workers have been very hostile to us since they learned of our "favorable placement". Its not our fault! We are happy to have it, but its not like we asked for it!

So, yesterday, the "queen bee" of the adult workers was on customer service and had a client come in with a new app for Cash assistance and Food stamps. She thought it was emergency and should be seen ASAP (we close at 4:30, and it was 4:17 when she decided to come in.) my daycare closes at 5, I have to get my kids, end of story. I asked for the info and determined that it was indeed NOT emergency and that I would see her at 8 this morning. The computer agreed that it was NOT emergency so I did not make a wrong determination. But, because the adult workers are mad, the "queen bee" went to my supervisor, who is NOT her supervisor, and said that I "refused to see and expedited" (which is against policy) and got me in trouble so I had to defend myself for something I didnt do at 8:00 this morning!!!!

What the heck!? Are we so juvenile at not only 50 years old, but a foster mom too, and a social worker? You'd think that at least ONE of those 3 criteria would require a maturity level beyond that of a 17 year old! I about popped a vein in my neck I swear. I clamly defneded my stance to my supervisor and then sent documentation to her to prove I was right. ARGH ppl kill me!!!!

OK sorry, I just had to let that out, it was festering. Thanks all for being a shoulder!!!

I know they can't swim, don't make good chew toys for dogs, aren't real aware of how large they are in relation to other turkey babies, don't travel in the mail well at 3 weeks old, and can't escape a hungry raccoon
