Office Work.......

I could tell today was bad for everyone because we were all too busy to post anything.

I don't have anything catastrophic to report, I was just busy and a bit stressed. The mess on my desk has risen another 6" - it almost covers portions of the monitor and I think my debit card has disappeared in the chaos. I may have to take drastic action soon.

Right now, I've got some unsweet tea in a wine glass and some leftover cheesecake from TGI Fridays, so I'm not worried about anything right now.

Well, the children got me up a little after 5am this morning. I usually get up about that time and have a snack and fall back asleep for a few hours, so when I saw my son had woken the girls, I told all 3 of them to go back to sleep because if they got me out of bed before 7am, I was going to be really angry.

A little after 6, I couldn't ignore the noise any longer, so I gave them breakfast, told them to get dressed and made them clean the house. If they had so much energy that they couldn't stay in bed until a decent hour, I was going to put them to work. My daughter cleaned the dining room and living room (including sweeping the floor and wiping the tables). My son had to clean the den and main bathroom (including vacuuming, wiping counters and cleaning the toilet.)

That took care of my day's agenda. All I have to do now is run a load of dishes and the whole house will be clean. If I'm really ambitious, I can do some laundry. Otherwise, I'll just hang out here all day - maybe I'll take a nap later.

Of course, now I have no excuse to avoid cleaning my desk.

Sure, Belle will be at her desk all morning, and I have envelope stuffing duties here! And my Office Mgr is in an extra-grumpy mood, which means I can only sneak over to the keyboard when she goes to the ladies room. Rats!

Belle, I might have pics of my current crossstitch to show you guys today. Maybe later after I'm hospitalized with paper cuts from folding letters.

Yay, Belle's on!

Funny that he hugged the nuts off that buckeye...

You and Orchid both!

When I have time I'll tell y'all about Saturday night's trip to the Hyannis emergency room to remove a gigondo saltwater triple hook from my hubby's finger. Fun city!

Seems reasonable to me... I'm trying to smile my Office Mgr to death but it's not working. Is that too much to ask?

I am just sick enough to be miserable, but not running a fever or having gross issues that would result in the need to stay home.

Sorry for the bad days, Beaner. Maybe you should throw dac's eyeballs at some coworkers. Or write in a blog like Laree.

Why was Batty logged on at 1am? Where is she now??

Buffy, if smiles don't work, cry when you cut your next finger and mutter about worker's comp.

Belle, anyone who has cheesecake before has got to expect to pay a karmic price, like getting up too early. No telling what price you'll pay for haviing a clean house

to you all!

This situation may call for some Ex-Lax in the Office Manager's coffee.

[can't wait to see the crosstitch pics! I'm impressed you finished one, since I haven't managed to do that in years!]
