Oh thank you sister Belle! Well, sometimes during my monthly pityparty (which Joyce Meyer forbids us Christian ladies to indulge in but I ignore her), I think, "well, I may not be too career smart, may not make money, may not be treated like a princess, and I drive a dented old car, at least I have visible abs". Would you believe that does make me feel better? Woe REALLY be unto me when I get old and flubby! Well, by then I'll be living with Belle in a luxury Kentucky horse resort, supported by her brilliant and cute children.

Yes and no. I got rid of most of the big stuff: crib, swing, car seat, stroller, bouncy seat, etc.

Out of sheer laziness I never got rid of the clothes. They were up in the attic - TONS of clothes - boys clothes, girls clothes - all sizes - WAY too much to handle and retain my sanity. Not only that, it's either blazing hot or freezing cold up there AND as short as I am, I can't even stand up in the attic AND I have a phobia of falling through the ceiling and/or falling down the hole in the floor that the disappearing staircase opens out of.

SO, I was able to wear all my old maternity clothes and I had a whole tote of baby clothes (surprisingly in good shape, no dry-rotted elastic) and a whole tote of cloth diapers and quite a few baby towels, crib sheets and receiving blankets.

I just put the word out among my friends that I needed a crib, swing, etc and I've managed to get everything I need. I bought a new car seat because I wanted to pick out one I felt was safest.

My girls are very bright and intelligent, but my son is just scary with how smart he is. The good news is I am his favorite person in the whole wide world and he never wants to grow up and leave me (of course, he's only 8.) I'm sure when I'm old and gray he'll want his dear mother to have a luxurious Kentucky horse farm.

Very subtle Buff.

I've been doing all kinds of things... like getting ready for a 2 week vacation with said New Beau. We leave Alaska flying to New Orleans, where we will spend 3 days before boarding a cruise ship headed for Mexico, upon return to New Orleans we are driving to somewhere outside of Nashville to spend the remaining days of our vacation with his sister and her husband making Kahula and Leftsa (sp) and we'll be doing a little shopping too. I hear they have great outlet malls around there.
