I'm guessing A) your dad is too smart for that, and B) he'd be delighted to see that you've come out of your shell enough to have virtual friends.

I grew up about 40 minutes from West Point, and when I was an older teen, my folks got me into a Navigators group there. Not as fun as it sounds, the Navigators are a Christian study group that's very prevalent on military bases. Very manly etc. The problem was that I regarded my male friends there as brothers in Christ instead of potential hubbies. I mean, duh, how can you feel randy about a "brother"????? So that little plan of my folks backfired. However, I'm still in touch with the geology prof & wife - they live in Alaska now.
