I'm not gonna lie, I am the nicest person at my job today. Okay, maybe that is a lie. Let me rephrase, I am by far NOT the meanest person at my work today. There are some mean beyotches in this department this morning. Its 10:30 and there have been yelling and tears already. Where is my darn popcorn........

Why does nature do this to women? What is the benefit of hormones if the only effect they have is always negative??? I mean, why can't estrogen overload make us joyful and sweet? Why does everything have to hurt?

[sorry for the philosophical nonsense... I just feel badly for sweet Belle!]

My hormones had a pretty pleasant effect on me throughout most of my teenage years.

But as far as pregnancy hormones go...my motto through pregnancy was pretty much "life sucks, and then you die". When my head wasn't in the toilet, that is. Then my motto was simply "please let me die".

I had hyperemesis with my first 2, so the "please let me die" is sooo familiar.

For the most part, I like being pregnant. The clothes are really comfortable, people hold doors for you and I like feeling the baby move. I wasn't sick at all with this one, so that was an awesome bonus and babies are really cute. I just hate this hormonal stuff. I've had more meltdowns in the last 5 days than I have in the last 5 years.

Well, I suppose it feels good to let it out and give yourself permission to stand up for what's right and fair once in a while. I think that you are probably a person that generally just sucks it up, gets things done herself and never raises a stink. So I say, plan on having a few more meltdowns in the next few weeks, regardless of pregnancy or not.

Random shots from a jog taken a few weeks ago which might illustrate what it's like to be preggers:

See now? This is what I mean! If a girl's gonna go and purposely get preggers anyway and have havoc be wreaked on her body, why can't it be FUN????

Kids are fun. Or at least they're an endless source of entertainment. Here's one of Ella for you, Buff:

She was making a "stink-bomb" of muck for Daddy to step in when he got out of his car after work.

I'm sure more meltdowns are coming. If I remember correctly, post-partum hormones are worse than pregnancy hormones. Not looking forward to that.

I bet your first child never left the house without socks, shoes, scarves, hat, gloves, 14 layers of underclothing and a down coat........never got more than 4 feet away from you and was completely supervised 24/7. By the time #4 gets here, you just open the door, wish them luck and hope for no life threatening injuries.
