You can send it to me when you get done. Hmm, maybe daughter in Utah can get it from her library and then I can read it when I'm mooching off of her.

Poopsicles, frozen turdra....c'mon Buffy, you can do it!

so the rescue emailed me back about the dog. They guessed around 55lbs and 12 years old. She really looks a lot like my old Brandy. I wish I had pix around here to prove it! Alas, I don't.

I'm going to email them back and see whether they even do long distance adoptions, and if so, what the next step would be. I am afraid they will want me to cart all 4 of my dogs to Atlanta......which would not be humanly possible for me to do alone. The best thing to do would be to bring my 2 old dogs, since they will be her buddies. Or instead, since my old dogs love everybody and everything, bring my 2 young dogs, who would be the ones to cause any trouble.

They did say they would try to send me new pix....I sent the other pix to my sister and she said WOW that does look just like Brandy. She wonders if Toby my old shepherd mix would think his girlfriend is back from the dead to see him LOL. It was sad that a few months after she had died, I found a video and it had Brandy barking in it while playing with Toby.....when I played the video, Toby got so excited and ran to the garage door thinking she was in there.

Yes, they should. Sorry I wasn't more specific. The recipe I have that my mom gave me that came from her mom is even less detailed than what I typed on here...we tend to be "add a smidge of this and a dash of that until it's right" type cooks (and I guess bakers). Which is fine until things start to get lost in translation; for instance, the recipe I have does not tell you to cut the loaves into slices before baking!

You shouldn't have told him. I was envisioning cookies with a 'Belle-curve' to them. You know, before she was de-bunned....

I know. It was so cute and so sad at the same time.

I am thinking I really need to sit down and consider culling all my extra boys and selling a large group of the others at a huge discount....almost a fire sale of sorts. I don't want to feed everyone through winter and don't need all these girls. I would love to sell all of my non breeder bantams. Tired of all the chicken drama, and need to downsize.

Chicken drama.

I'd take that over parent drama.

My parents AND Joe's parents have all managed to drive me nuts today. I know, I know, I should be thankful that we have our parents and that they are close to us....but....do they have to be so....MUCH?
