The Knox shelter let us do that when we adopted a kitten.... That was quite a while ago though.

I'll ask about taking her home and then bringing her back next week when they call back but I doubt it. They don't know me from Joe Blow.......who is to say I would even bring her back? Even though obviously I would.

I think shelters don't trust people beyond where they can throw poo at them. They will suspect you are going to take her home and put her in a locked room with 12 intact males.

Norman's version of hateful seems to be my version of lovable. Go figure.

The only thing I collect (besides pets, apparently) is Breyer horses. I commented the other day that it was a silly thing to collect and DH said "not if you love them". Well, then.

I used to collect miniature tea sets but I ended up with so many that I stopped!

We've adopted a couple of pets that came with spay/neuter vouchers. Only one of them was ever actually followed up on by the humane society. All my pets are sterilized anyway...I'd probably get my sometimes-hateful mare done if it wasn't so darn expensive.
