Lori, I knew I liked you for a good reason, I am quite enamored with Hugh Jackman as well.

Nells, which elliptical did you get? I am getting rid of our ancient stationary bike and our ancient ski machine and want a small elliptical for the family room downstairs.

I have strep throat. The clinic was closed yesterday so I had to go to the ER...ER doc took one look at my throat and didn't even do a test. It must have looked delightful in there.

We had boatloads of snow here and I spent half the day shoveling yesterday, I doubt that helped my illness much.

So I have tons of food in my fridge with no inclination to prepare it, tons of fun stuff I wanted to do with kids with no energy to do it....someone call the whaaaaambulance.

Sorry you don't feel well Orchypants. Sit in the kitchen and coach the family on how to cook. When you receover and they clean the kitchen, maybe you'll feel like doing some fun kid stuff. (privately lmao at this suggestion)

It's a rainy nasty day. I was contemplating lazing in front of the fire. Then NC called and said DD is coming home a day early. So now I'll be out in this icky weather with a teen who has giftcards burning a hole in her pocket.
I'm hoping that's what it is. Last time she came back from NC she was a bit bummed out, and wasn't sure about going back to visit. Visiting over Christmas was a buy-out to avoid spending any major time there this summer.

One good thing I can say: I majorly cleaned the coop yesterday. So that part of the New Year is starting off right. Also, I made some harsh decisions on selling some birds. To make room for more, of course!

Laree, evvybody loves you, not just Uncle martin!

Beaner, should I buy you an eye brow pencil for Christmas?

that involves getting off the couch, getting dressed and venturing out. And not just OUT, but to the MALL on a HOLIDAY. Are you smoking CRACK?

I am becoming one with my couch today.

Orchy, its the cheapest one from Wally World. Golds Gym.....$277 plus tax. Buy it online and its $247, free ship to store although it takes a couple weeks.

Aren't you just the comedienne today?

I made Laree's ham and cheese tarts for lunch. They are easy, fast and delicious. Not to mention easy to swallow even when your throat hurts. Two thumbs up!

I too was wondering how Nella's brows look in the harsh light of day.

My oldest sisters always told me they loved me after a few too many. I think it's time they have a few too many again.... sniff sniff, g is feeling neglected by her family....sniff sniff.

wait wait...who needed the waaambulance??? Uncle Martin? oh no, NOT Orchy!!!!

ooo that sounds like a decent price...hmmm...g quietly ponders about an elliptical machine...but where to put it? hmmmmm.......

the snow melted here yesterday? what the frack? now it's really windy and cold...frack frack. I'd rather just have the snow...kids can play...and then theres no muddy dog paws or ducks or chickens or turkey...... Didn't I say this already? Then why must I say it again? Snow stays. I'll see you mr. mud in spring.

Let me just say that my eyebrows look surprisingly good. Maybe I should drunk tweeze more often. I just shortened them a bit more than normal. And then once I had done the left I had to do the right, you know?

I have to do dishes, vacuum, fold laundry, wash more laundry and sweep up chewed up bits of Barbie's arm and another plush wiseman from the Nativity scene...does that count?

Then I have to go to Grandma's and pick her up to come to my house to get her car back...I dropped her off at the widow's New Year's party last night and all the grannies were drinking spiked punch.
