I'm taking 12 d'Uccles to show, no silkies this time.
I'm taking 5 d'Uccle hens to sell, 4 7-week old d'Uccle cockerals, and 6 7-week old silkies to sell as well.

I cleaned out our pantry in November and found cake mixes that had expired in 2007.

Needless to say, off to the trash they went. I decided to try to do meal planning each week so we eat what we buy (other than staple foods like canned veggies, noodles etc) and we have wasted a lot less food that way.

Next on my list is our master closet.

I want to go to a chicken show. Someone take me with them!

My chickens apparently do not understand that -20º F is not fit weather for laying eggs; the three of them were fighting over the nesting box this morning.

I hope none of the eggs are cracked by the time I get home.

I'm too lazy to go to a chicken show. I could be home SLEEPING.....why should I leave? I can't buy any more anyways....that would not fit my goal of DOWNSIZING. I should show my blue mottle, she is soooo perty.

Tonight's Hoarders show involves chickens! Everyone should watch!

Don't forget the Animal Hoarders show involving chickens is in a week or two also.

I'd take you, but it would be a heck of a drive.

I love looking at all the pretty birds. Doing my own visual evaluation and then seeing if the judges agreed with me.

10 pm! A&E

Hanna has hoarded herself and her 200 chickens out of her house and is now living with the chickens in a windowless, unheated trailer. As winter sets in, she and her chickens face freezing to death if their original home is not cleaned out so they can all move back in. In addition to the chickens, Hanna has an assortment of farm animals, some of which are in horrible shape and need immediate attention. When Levana and Todd rented out their newly purchased dream home to make ends meet, they had no idea that their tenants, Kathy and Gary, would hoard the home and destroy it by letting 30 rabbits run loose inside the house. Unbelievably, the homeowners are willing to give the hoarders a second chance if they clean up their act.
