A lav is more rare, but I'd bet you'd want higher quality for the same $ now. That's an experience thing. You know, "older / wiser'.
I set my price to recoup the cost of the shipped eggs that hatched my Welsummers. And they were gorgeous birds! POL, so I never got to see their eggs, but the buyer was so pleased he said he'd send me free eggs when I wanted to hatch more Wellies.
I still don't see them in shows around here and wish I hand't sold them. No room for more, though, unless I want to let some eye-candy birds go to new homes.
