I went out this morning (and finally busted the new crower) and saw there were wet spots at the edge of the porch...but the rest of the yard was super-dry.

I walked outside, and had a mist drop hit me every 100 steops or so, but the ground was still dry. I finally figured out it WAS raining at my house: the rain was hitting at roof level, occasionally hitting at head level, but DEFINATELY evaporating before it hit the ground.

RAIN, DARN IT!!!

On the plus side, it is 85 degrees out.

I almost needed to get out my sweatshirt.

For all you patient folks: here is a pic of TG's swelleyleg. Double-plus-good: she took a tinkle pill today. I have already been regaled with the benefits of a liquid breakfast AND been privvy too two trips to the privvy.

So it would be cruel of me to say that we've had rain every day since Sunday, and my zuchini are sprouting? (Zuchini which may or may not have time to fruit before the first frost...)

Due to 95 degree temps, the humidity makes the 'heat index' about right for baking bread, I think.

LOL its been about 85-86 here every day, even on the rainy ones. It rains 4 out of 7 days each week, but only about an inch, then the mosquitoes have a love fest in the puddles and make me wish it was tick season again...

Another sign that either a) I dont get out enough or b) I'm too young.... DH is 12 years older than me, and he tell all his friends I have a "Chicken Ranch" to which they all snicker and guffaw and lead me to believe its something nasty.... so I finally googled the term, and yeah....
