I refuse to investigate my family tree...I'm sure I don't want to know.

I seriously have hundreds of relatives...

My grandparents belonged to the generation where 12-14 kids/family was normal, but I didn't meet many of my grandparent's siblings...so I'm pretty sure I'm related to the entire state of KY.

My mom was one of 8
My dad was one of 7

All those aunts and uncles married (other people) and had about 50 cousins for us to play with (seriously). I'm one of 6. Now most of my siblings and cousins are married and I have no idea how many children they each have, but it's a lot!

Twice during early pregnancy exams my doctor has remarked about how my hips were just made to have babies...well based on family history...

Ya'll, I am a nervous wreck about DD. She started band camp today and she was so scared about it that she didn't want to get out of the car. She's awkward and gets made fun of a lot. I really want band to go well, especially marching band. She's starting high school in 2 weeks, missing her sister, and feeling like a true ugly duckling. And here I am, having an anxiety attack because high school is where life really started unravelling for DD's sister...

I'm trying to think of good stuff to put in her lunch / snack bag so that she gets tasty nutrition but nothing that's too heavy for this terrible heat. Today was cheese & crackers, plus an apple cut into wedges.
Tomorrow I'm thinking about a tortilla wrap cut into little pinwheels (so her braces don't get as gross), made with leaves of baby spinach, cream cheese, and ham.

She lost 4" of her waist-line in July and was so proud about it! I really want to help her stay healthy while finding tasty things for her to eat....

I joined the color guard in high school and I love the "band" kids; I think a lot of them felt out of step with their peers, so hopefully they'll be welcoming to your girl. That's great on her slimming her waistline! Good for her!

The ham/cheese/spinich pinwheels sound wonderful - can you pack my lunch, too? I had leftover veggie soup for lunch and I couldn't face it. I'd rather go hungry than eat it.

Give her phone number, address, name of firstborn child and social security number. LOVE big bucks for playing music in church (especially if it's religious music, not the creepy classical stuff most classical musicians play).
