How was your weekend??

Busy. This past weekend was the annual tax-free weekend on back-to-school stuff, so I bought all the kids back-to-school stuff...pencils, crayons, tissues and new sneakers, jeans and lunch boxes. The kids start in another week and they can't wait.

Also the kids had a birthday party to attend, my daughter had a playdate and my son had soccer try-outs.

I got to see my foster daughter after almost 2 years

She's going to be playing soccer in the same league as my son. I don't know if they'll be on the same team or not. I chatted with her adopted mom while the kids were playing and afterwards I walked up and asked her if she remembered me and she said, "Karen!" and gave me a big hug. Even if they're not on the same team, I'll get to see her during practices and games all season.

Mornin ladies and gents. Another glorious day........even if my morning was icky, it wasn't as icky as this dude's morning. The front of the truck said "Pro Piano Movers". Um, Whoops!

There were multiple vehicles involved....most of them were BEFORE the truck, so I am wondering if he wrecked "avoiding" them....or if they wrecked trying to avoid him. who knows.....

it was the 2nd rollover I've seen since Saturday. Saw a nice Ultima demolished on our way back from the longest yard sale. And yesterday about 8 cars wrecked in front of me on the 75.....I think the car in front of me was the first car to "miss" it. Crazy drivers.........

I'm taking some chickens and rabbits to a poultry swap this weekend to make my numbers more manageable. Then my husband is going to help me remodel the chicken coop. He's going to make roll-out nest boxes and a wood feeder that can hold an entire 50# bag of pellets and I'm going to add the auto waterers so I (or anyone doing chicken chores for me) can access the feed, water and nestboxes without having to enter the pens. I'm pretty excited about it!

well lastnight I worked on the suggestions by the persons that built the original one. It is now holding perfect temp and humidity. Yay!!

I was getting frustrated and was about to just dig down deep and buy me a real one.
