Aw c'mon and join the club!

Well, it's hard enough to afford work, but I certainly don't want to pay to have my mouth messed with and permanently messed up as a result.

Do you trust your dentist?
Old fillings get leaky, so you may do more harm than good by post-poning it.
I remember Nella said this was a filling she broke a long time ago....

Wegot, are you just trying to make me feel better? I've heard that a lot of things get leaky as we get older, but never heard that about fillings...

Atrophy is a natural process and about as much fun as gravity.

Aw, now you're just REALLY trying to cheer me up.

Yeah, I stayed away because I was having that kind of week, so you should feel blessed that I kept my doom and gloom to myself for so long!!

LOL, you all crack me up.

The filling that broke 2 years ago (whoops) was filled LAST week. That one is doing okay although probably needs a root canal. It's a little ouchy but nothing my bff Advil can't fix. It is not the tooth itself but under the tooth and had that issue beforehand.

The filling this week was a really old one that seemed to be fine but they said had decay underneath. My best guess is that they hit a nerve or twenty giving me the numbing injections as my jaw was in absolutely agony afterwards. It is fine now.

Here you go.

7/20 - broken tooth fixed - old filling in tooth removed and replaced - all fine and dandy but needs a crown eventually
7/27 - exam and cleaning - all fine and dandy
8/3 - broken filling from 2 years ago fixed - difficult fix and may need root canal - no worse now than it was before, probably does need a root canal eventually
8/10 - old filling replaced - decay under large filling in "important" tooth - absolute agony after numbing went away - alternated darvocet and advil every 3 hours to make it through - was back to "normal" within 1-2 days - probably hit a nerve

So there you go. I think you'll survive. Look what my MONTH has consisted of.

Awwww, Wegot. I know what you mean - there are only two reasons I would'n't be on BYC and that's if I'm actually having to WORK, or, if I feel like my mood is so crummy that I wouldn't have much to contribute. ARe you feeling more chipper now?

I ask for plastic so I don't have many brown bags. How many does the recipe call for? [sounds chewy...]
