Official report from 10 minutes ago: My baseline number of Marine style pushups (nose touching floor) is 9. The last one took about three minutes to complete...

What's everybody elses's?

SEe you this aftenroon - gotta go to my non-computer office this morning.

I forgot about the pushups. Combine a really crappy day, major traffic jam on the way home (only took 50 minutes to make a 20 minute drive!) and then ordering pizza and accidently choosing carryout, so I had to go pick the darn thing up at 9 o'clock. Shoot me now. I will start mine tonight. If I am doing military style pushups, I would guess my baseline is ZERO. Ha.

Is it time to go home yet?

Good job, dacs! (wondering if DH can still do them)

I assumed the push-up position. And then said, 'Screw this!"

My official push-up tally: 0

I'm so proud.

Today I am wearing a fluffy, psychedelic scarf and no one has noticed. It's really cute (I think) but obviously a waste of my energy. Except that my neck is warm and it's like have a stuffed animal hugging me....

Nells is showing off again. At least I go to work at least PARtially dressed.

Okay, if your baseline number is zero, then you win already if you can do two next week! And Dacs, we're going to have to ask you to leave the competition. 30 is in overachiever range and we frown on that, here on the At Work But Not Working thread.

Lunch was Laughing Cow cheese wedges (2), 1/2 a tube of ritz crackers (I rpefer Townhouse, but DD likes these better), and a McD's apple turnover.

The book is American Gods by Neil Gaiman. I've read it before, and liked it then. Having had a bunch of New Experiences since then, it's different this time. I'm still enjoying it, but feeling more of the darkness in it.

I am never naked at work, even partially. In fact, I dress in layers. I was mocked for having a lap robe over my legs. And STILL no one has commented on my cute scarf <sigh> even in a derogatory way....

*zooms in*

Hi all! Super busy here today. Forgot to do pushup baseline. Will try to do it tonight.

I'd tell you all not to work too hard, but I know that's not going to be an issue with this crew.

Bye all!

*zooms out*

Lori! What an absolutely adorable and wicked cute scarf you have on. It dazzles with originality and it even looks like a stuffed animal is hugging you! Brilliant. [running to call the red carpet people...]

Breezes in pants are generally a bad thing.

I tend to not go to work nekkid either. Although I am not above showing a little bargaining power here and there. A girl's gotta get a raise somehow *huff*

I had the most amazingly wonderful probably horrifically bad for me burger for lunch from steak and shake. I don't even have to look up the nutritional info to know it is bad. It's called the Buttery Wisconsin Burger or something similar. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.........

Today has been a bit quiet at work. I expect the avalanche of work to start at any moment.

Ha!

You know this morning two of my girls dashed out the gate to the deck when I was going to go back in the house. I always let them out of the coop at the back of the yard, go to the garage to check on things and then come back up the hill to the house. Well, as I go through the gate I always take a big scoop of scratch and throw it off the deck to the chickens below. these girls are smart and know whats coming, so I guess they tried to get ahead of the game. First chicken through the gate was one of my young easter egger pullets. 2nd one? Mille Fleur d'uccle pullet. Little booger.

They don't ever go anywhere. The deck fence is very short....less than 3' tall. So they like to fly up onto the railing to wait for me when I get home from work. The few times I have had one actually accidently escape, they just fly through the railing and back down to go back. Little monkeys. I had put plastic mesh along the railing right near the gate to keep small pups inside.....

PS......those steps are the scene of the crime from last week's fall.
