The company to do the repairs claims my database did not upload last night.
So it is not repaired.
I re-uploaded, but they are in CA. I'll bet they aren't even out of their beds yet.

I can handle one day at a time, but I swear it feels like several days are attacking me at once.

I checked my calendar twice. It is NOT Friday the 13th. While do I feel like the Sword of Damocles is hanging above my head?

Someone needs to tape my fingers to the desk so I can't respond on the dog teeth cleaning thread about what a joke all those people are. Seriously, apparently if you are not willing to take out a loan to get your dogs teeth cleaned you are a bad pet owner and dont deserve to have pets. In one breath they say that daily brushing will save you on vet bills. In the next breath, they say that even if the teeth look clean, they should have dentals done. Ooookay. What a surprise, there are vets on this thread chiming in and claiming that "cheap dentals" are not as good as really ridiculously expensive dentals. Hmmmm, that's interesting. My $110 dental for my old poodle was perfectly fine? Apparently all the dogs in shetlers are better off dead than with owners that aren't rich.

Funny how there are millions of dogs in this world eating ol roy and going to the shot clinic once a year that are happy as a clam.

Yes, it amazes me the hoops people expect you to jump through, and how hostile some opinions are expressed.

Good thing you weren't around for the declawing thread

I swear, the ex wouldv'e made me put Jezzie down had I not had her declawed. She liked to hide behind furniture and attack people. Small children do NOT like this, especially when pointy bits are involved. But when Jezebel scratched DD2 near the eye, I made an appointment for her to be declawed before the ex even saw the scratch!
And Jezebel gets a lot more love now as a result. She still grabs and rabbit kicks, but you can get away without any major trauma. Jezebel was a wild child in her younger days.

LOL, wanna know my feelings on declawing.....I don't like declawing. I probably wouldn't declaw my own cat. However, I would rather see a cat declawed than gotten rid of because of clawing issues.

And honestly, I have never had a cat who had serious behavior problems that claws made worse so its hard for me to even say. I would declaw a cat before I got "rid" of it. I'm a much bigger dog fan than cat fan, so I have only one single cat. My precious ANGEL Norman. I'm sure I would get ripped apart if I mentioned how he has had chronic seizures and urinary problems....and *gasp* I don't have him on prescription food. Oh lord, the fact that I've owned him for a good 8 or 9 years and have figured out a formula of dry and wet food that keeps his urinary problems under control doesn't mean anything. Better bow down to the VETS who want me to feed some nonsense arse science diet prescription food that he hates and refuses to eat and costs an arm and a leg.

Yeah, I think good company, a warm place to sleep and a fully tummy is really all dogs care about. Cats only want the last two.

So the birthday party was a total fiasco. My kid was a brat and one of the little guests had the stomach flu and puked all over my living room floor. Thank God it's tiled. I have a hard enough time dealing with my own kids' puke, that was way past my limit. No more kid birthday parties. Ever. I will take my kids to Disneyland if it means I can avoid having to throw any more birthday parties.

I saw the head of a broom laying on the shoulder of the road on my way to work this morning and thought that somewhere a witch is having a very bad day.

Me too.

Speaking of which, there is a declawed cat at our humane society that I want in the WORST way. She is gorgeous and would fit right in with my kitty color scheme.

(My sister claims my cats are all color coordinated.) I am pretty sure DH would divorce me if I came home with another cat....especially after he had to climb up on the roof to get Tips down last night. She wouldn't come down on her own. I told him to just put the ladder up and let her find her way down, but he's a big 'ole softie.

My boyfriend was talking about how he could get a cat for a pet....but then he'd have to get it declawed. i was all "oh no you don't". He just doesn't want it to claw his couch. Train the darn thing.....give it a scratcher. And then pretend you don't see the claw marks on your couch, ha ha ha. My theory is that people who want declawed cats so they don't claw furniture.....just adopt already declawed cats. There are plenty of them out there.

Declawing for behavioral reasons is another thing. I knew someone who had declawed their cat....and then had to have some teeth removed too. Mean sucker. My Norman is a precious angel and would never harm a soul.

(I am such a liar, he is a jerk)

I had never declawed a cat until Jezebel. It was amazing how much easier it made to love her....
I still have scars from her childhood.

Yup, vet food must taste like medicine. The only animals I ever heard of that liked it were huge dogs that ate $200 of feed a week.

I'd like to have a dog, but they are too high-maintenance for DH.
But I love cats more than dogs.

We have one cat who was an absolutely vicious indoor cat; he started out life at my MIL's house and she put up with it for three years before she couldn't take it anymore. (He is not declawed.) Then he went to live with her other son's family; he made it three days indoors there. Then they threw him outside to fend for himself. A year later they decided they didn't like him anymore and were going to shoot him, so he came to live at my house. He comes in to visit for a little bit most days, but he's basically an outdoor cat and is now as loving as they come. He's a weird cat, but we love him.

I love cats and dogs pretty equally. If I didn't have hubby to keep me in check I'd have way too many of both.
