Oooooh, prepare yourself for this evening. I will get my knuckles all cracked and ready to rock and roll.

If you're half as good as my friend Bonnie, I'll just present you with my bottom right now so you can kick it.

I beat my mom by 200 points the other day. I am such a wonderful child.

Wow Belle. I'm thinking of starting some sample designs myself - I can't believe you are doing homemade cards at this point in your ... ahem... family way. Wow, you are some kinda woman!*

Well I'm not usually good about getting them done this early, but I know I won't feel like doing them post-baby. Everyone knows I send out handmade cards, I couldn't possibly send out store bought cards! What would people think?

I have the address labels saved in Word, so I don't hand address envelopes, surely that proves I have some sanity? I'll write some of the newsletter before the baby, but I always include a picture of the kids in it and I'll want to make sure the new addition is represented. Then I'll just have to stuff envelopes and Mom will help because she's awesome like that.

I'm hoping my mom makes lots and lots of Christmas cookies when she's here.

She's coming to visit for 2 weeks after the baby's born, so I'm hoping she'll take over the holiday baking for me, since I doubt I'll feel up to it. All my favorite recipes I got from her. Last time I went to Sams I bought 25# of flour, 10# of sugar and 7# of powdered sugar. Next time I go, I'll get some chocolate chips, walnuts and brown sugar.

Note to self, in case of the pocky-clips......go to Belle's house. She'll have COOKIES.

Iced sugar cookies with sprinkles
Philly Chippers (like Chocolate chip cookies, but with cream cheese in the batter)
Mexican wedding cookies
Peanut Butter cookies with the hershey kiss in the middle
Nuts and Bolts (pretzels and peanuts covered in white chocolate)
Mint iced brownies
Peppermint bark
Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge

Welsummers are awesome. My Wellie roo was loud, but a complete gentleman. He never made an agressive move towards me or the kids, even when I was chasing hens around the pen and stuffing them in a dog crate.

I consider hatching eggs very safe. There aren't many diseases passed through the egg and with MG even if the hen is a carrier, typically it's only shed to the egg when the hen has an active infection. Even if the egg was infected, the chances of that egg developing all the way to hatching is very slim (another reason I refuse to help weak chicks hatch.) If you're really, really worried about it, look up the antibiotic LS-50. It was designed for newly hatched chicks to cure them of Mycoplasma, so they would be neither infected or carriers as adults.

Good to know, thank you!

I suppose it might be a waste of money to buy eggs the first time she goes, though...maybe she won't be any good at hatching eggs.

Ah, well, I've wasted better money on worse things...

I've rarely had a broody quit. Try to get her some eggs as soon as you're certain she's broody then she'll be less likely to quit early. Also make sure to block the other hens' access to her nest so she doesn't get stressed out.

I'm back, I'm back. Root canal scheduled for 3pm tomorrow. The dentist said "of course it hurts, the filling is on top of the pulp". Then he tapped on my tooth with his tool and I almost died. Now my whole face hurts. Time for more advil!

Whats funny is the endodontist specialist dude said I needed a root canal in #4........but not #3. Well, #3 is the one that seems to hurt and #3 is the one that was worked on last and started this whole drama. So this dentist looks and says hmmmm....which one hurts? I said #3! And he taps on #4 and it doesn't hurt. and then he taps on #3 and I die. And he says, yep......let's do #3 and see how things go. If you still have pain, then we will do #4.

does that not make sense? Why did I have to go to 28 dentists to find one with a brain? This dentist office is approximately 1 minute and 30 seconds away from my work. I can see it from our office windows.

$250 root canal, here I come!
