Office Work.......

Just asked the new girl if she had any small children. Her response.... "Why, do you want to EAT THEM?".

I guess her sitting at the next cubicle over means she hears my ranting and raving, LOL. She is from New York. She says I make her feel like she is "home". HAaaaaaaaaaa.

I see that you have your office under your complete control and domination (except for the stupid ones). Well done Nells.

I'll see you guys all day tomorrow. Have a good night Nells. (PS: send some pinot grig over - I'm a runnin' low)

As if my day wasn't filled with enough rage, I came home and was lied to, blatantly, by DD. She tried to defend herself with more lies before I finally forced a confession. I was remarkably calm. I think I lulled her into thinking Life would be easy, I was so calm. She should be afraid. Very very afraid. I'm channeling my rage at the moment, straight into my spine. As soon as she quits apologizing and starts whining there will be a metaphorical smack-down of epic proportions.

DH does not know about this. We disagree about DD enough as it is.

On a happy note, DH was very understanding about my work-related rage. If I tell them to kiss my assets, he will stand with me and do what we need to do to survive financially. But we both agree that if I can keep my cool and last until May we'll be better off financially and it will better personally as well. I'd rather not burn my bridges there. In general they are not bad people. The owner was just ill-behaved today. I sooooooo dislike being treated like a liar, though. He better watch it tomorrow or I will have to say something, and once I start I'm not sure I can stop....

I agree. I also like the idea of a storm-front of hate. I did so much teeth-grinding today I think I am toothless. Some of it was toddler related.

Part of being the new girl is that every one assumes I am stupid. They had the guy who started in Nov, never had an accounting job before, just finished ACCT210 in night-school teach me how to enter expense reports. If it were a new accounting software, sure. But I HELPED WITH THE CONCEPTUAL DESIGN of this same software 4 years ago. I had MEETINGS with the head designers. (not that my new work knows this)

There is a girl there, the second-in-command, who is me---without the education. If it weren't a temp gig, we could be best friends or vile-hating enemies. Since this place is a royal mess (but with major potential given some hard work) I don't think I will be staying, if they were to ask. I would need to start out in-charge: they need some major re-organization & procedural changes.

I don't think I want to work that hard for less than $200K a year. Ya know?

If you know what's good for you, you will.

And as far as the grandkids, which are you? The good example or the horrible warning?

Checking in. Freezing rain west of St. Louis.

Yeah, it's so sad when the good ones fall that hard, isn't it?
Good news, both cats survived their dumb "checkup" this afternoon. And the vet office is having their Christmas party with my $211.

I gently floated down.

bored bored bored bored bored bored bored

The menfolk have commindeered (spelling bad today) the TV AGAIN. 5th night in a row.

I can only justify cleaning the kitchen so often.

Plus the video game they are playing is very boring to watch.

Wisdom? Surely you aren't talking to one of the Office Work people.
