I do have chickens from bluey...a bunch of roos that I sold but I got a "churkey" hen--member his broody? And was that it or do I have another one? Anyway...he keeps sending me boy eggs and I think he's doin this when he puts em in the mail.
cuz ya know how he likes to taunt me.
night boos.
oh and ducky is in his old coop all by his lonesome...Molly chased him out and almost caught him and he pert near when over the fence again...but then he ran/waddled back in the pop door and mama dropped it down in a hurry. yeah...duckies!
All my other beasties are lookin like they enjoy thier new digs...G made a nifty roost thingy with a similar concept to a local chickener I stopped by and checked out...we'll see how it works. It's slatted boards--for the roostin part and a slanted board under it like this \\ well, kinda like that...with some thick ? plastic sheet (not linoleum...something else) over the board that would be easier to clean then wood...and the slant part is supposed to allow me to push the terdies down the slant and out the pop door where I can have a wheel barrow waiting to catch the debris. I don't know if it will work like he had planned? We'll have to give it a go. But all chickens have found the roost except a couple.
Then under the roost \\ are the nest boxes.
roost roost roost roost roost...
gradually slanting board
nest box x2 x3 x4 x5 x6 [pop door]
empty space where ducks can hang out
l a f smaller
a u e auto
r t e feeder
g o d
e er heated water [ inside door]
xxxxxxxxxx fencing xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
shelf for storage on top and underneath doors for outside
and run is tied in to my old run so I can divide the run in spring when I get babies and keep babies in the old small coop. yay.
