I hear ya Batz. And I'd be walking right with you on Bitter Street. Me? I'd do three things: talk to him (you've done that), pray for him, and yourself, and protect yourself and your assets (i.e. house, etc.) (PS: remind him how he used to be a #5 in the work ethic department, and btw, what happened?)

The scale was from 1 to 5. He used to be a 5. Now he's off the charts, in a bad way.
To be honest, I'm absolutely amazed at the lack of work ethic in the USA today. It seems a cliche, but it's finally getting to me that there are more people who feel they deserve to be supported by others, than those who feel that they ought to put some effort into their keep.
It makes me sad for the youth of today. If their role models don't work, then why the heck should THEY ever have to work. (My co-worker's boyfriends kids are like this - their mom never worked and depended on others, and they decided to live the same life - except they had to deal drugs and one is even dealing her body to make an "easy life" happen.
Okay, I'm off my soapbox now. Gotta go downstairs and make salads for dinner.
Oh my gosh!!! The fantasy!!! My x thought he was gonna sing on the grand ol opery...he couldn't play a lick nor sing worth a hoot...but somehow he was gonna play the grand ol opery. My brain has permenent damage from the noise he made.
He was gonna get himself a "lunch" truck and park at industries and become a well made man. Yeah, sometime between him smokin "cigars" with the wanted gangsta on the front porch and ownin enough to even afford a food and drug approved truck...and when the near by town has 1 taco truck, 1 hot dog truck, and 1 icecream cart---except that guy got shot down in a gang anneciation (can't spell?) and is no longer with us....and I know for certain they weren't well made men.
He was a dreamer...he frollicked in the fatasy world too.
