ok. switched the wax paper out. They seem to sit better with the paper towels anyway. And my dozen little seramas are in good shape. the box made it here intact.

My orps that showed up yesterday were not as lucky. One was smashed to bits and two were cracked severely. Had to throw one away this morning. It had already stuck to the turner. I hope I get at least a 50% hatch but I'm not holding my breath. I think it'll be a lot of quitters due to being shook so badly.

Yes, paper towels also 'breathe', you know? I'm getting ready to clean out the Brinsea so that I can modify the egg dividers, and then I'll be doing some power-stacking in there. Right now I was planning on using it as a hatcher, and the Brower is triple stacked in some places. Makes turning them by hand a very slow process. So I will split them up and put my shipped eggs in the Brinsea, home-grown in the Brower, and then switch around as I candle and see who stays and goes. They were all set within a few days of each other so I can put them together for hatching...

I've emailed them both. Let them know the condition of the eggs. I always do that anyways - problem or not. I guess we'll see on the orps. I paid for 2 dozen, she sent 31. So the three I've lost could technically be considered extras. But it the hatch rate is ridiculously low, then it would be trauma. I also may have the same problem I had with the Cha-chingers.

Guess I'll know in about 4 days.

Not being a horse person...other than admiring them...I thought to myself...good gravy!!! look at those legs pokin out and dangling there. And wondered why the people didn't assist but thought maybe it was just the way it is, not knowing?

I did like how the baby licked it's mama's leg when he was out...like wake up mama...I'm here and then she looked at him...or her? Anyway....

Go find that mama and massage her belly.
