This from a woman who should recognize "snow white" when she sees it.

That is a gorgeous iris! Mine will bloom in June. I have no white ones, just shades of blue.

Very pretty! My irses are not even THINKING about blooming yet. The lenten roses and daffies are pretty, though....

Apparently it has a lot of perenials and the hubby said he'd come back and help me plant this planter the community always talks about on thier front porch with cascading purple petunias over the brick pillar corner stone of the stair case that has a built in potted plant base. I guess it's the talk of the town and everyone always commpliments the wife but it's actually the husband's handy work.

I think I need a welcome wagon like this for my yard.

Well, I got all excited because I didn't have to spend 2.5 hours sitting in a car waiting for DD to get done with her Saturday class (at a college that's on speing break). No other commitments on the calendar. And then....

The Red Cross called. I'm a certified trainer and they were short on trainers for the Save-a-Life Saturday event in honor of Gabrielle Giffords and the other folks in AZ that were affected by the shooting. So.... I'm going to spend 2 hours showing peeps how to do compression-only CPR, how to stop external bleeding, and how to recognize and avoid injured peeps going into shock.

AND THEN the rest of my weekend can be spent playing in the garden beds while the chickers run around and forage
