My poor DH gets all of the nasty tasks like taking the dog or cat to the vet for the last time when they are old etc. I just can't bring myself to it. I feel kind of bad for him... Well I deal with the kids and the household most of the time so I guess I don't feel that bad.

Ok, off to run errands. Then to the head snipping.

I have about a dozen little baby boys that are going to the promise land...........I'll try not to cry. They are small so their shouldn't be that much blood. Clean and neat.

I absolutely KNOW I couldn't do it. Unless I had a hen in horrific distress, eviserated by a predator or something, and I'd just do it in a split second's decision. That's why I have my pen bullet-proof. Cuz I'm a wuss about matters of life and death.

Aw Batz, I'm so sorry you have a sad afternoon's task. I'll be thinking of you.

Dh knew he'd lst his argument against breeding to show when I started doing the deed myself. And without crying.

Actually, after I had to cull the blind chick I nursed from hatch to 2 months old, and the poor d'Uccle with a foot feather deformity, I never cried again. I feel bad for the little guys, but not to the point of tears.

Real cruelty would be leaving them in the woods for the carnivores or cold to kill. With me they get a warm bed, fresh food and water, and a place to play up until the point of the Long Hug Goodnight.

Won't they be home snipping heads off chicks?

Got me, these are the unrelated to me unruly children. My children act like that, they get embarrassed horribly in public.

Besides, by the time I get my walker with speed wheels, I won't have small children.
