I'm thinking we all need to make chicken statues out of papier mache and mail them to her. They would be light. Just blow up a baloon, make a cone out of cardboard for the neck and tape it to the baloon and go from there. Make a batter out of flour and water and some salt to keep the bugs from wanting to eat it. tear up strips of newspaper, dip them in the flour batter till they are wet, and start wrapping them around the baloon and cone, folding and crumbling them to make the shapes come alive... After they are done, let them dry out really well and paint them ANY CRAZY WAY YOU CAN THINK OF, and mail them off to her!!!
We could paint them all kinds of crazy looks, realistic, artistic, sadistic... whatever floats your boat. She could have the flock from hell for FREE, and no crowing, no feed bill and no poop to rake up!!!
We got twenty pink lawn flamingos to get back at a nasty neighbor once.
He couldn't sell his house for what he thought it was worth, and blamed us. Called our landlady and complained about my room-mate's old car "bringing down his property value", used to lie to her and tell her we weren't keeping the lawn mowed (til I made her come out and look for herself).
We did the lawn flamingo thing, and they stole them.
They had an open house one saturday, and we got some really large hairy friends to hang out sunbathing in bathing suits in our front yard in exchange for all the beer they could drink.
We told their real estate agent that if they didn't bring the flamingos back, it was gonna get a whole lot worse.

It looks like it's made similar to how I make Christmas wreaths. I use fabric for the wreaths, but you could use pieces of plastic just as easy. Start with a stryrofoam base. Cut your plastic (flexible or stiff plastic) into squares. The size of the squares depends on the desired size of the finished project. I have found that 4 inch squares work well. Cutting with pinking shears also gives a nicer fluffier look. You will also need glue and a pointy stick (a pencil or old knitting needle work well). Place the pointy end of the stick in the middle of the square and wrap the square around the end. Dip the end in the glue and then shove it into the styrofoam. When you pull the stick out, the plastic square will stay. Put these "feathers" all over your styrofoam base. Once you have all the "feathers' on, use glue, toothpicks or whatever to add your other embellishments.
