- i have 10 buff's for eggs and meat.... it was easier just to buy 10 unsexed from Metzer farms... so they are now four weeks old and getting big. Everyone seems to love them here. i heard they lay well up to 250/eggs/year - anyone know how that counts out? do they stop in winter or when it gets too hot? also I got them for food, they are supposed to be tastier than Penkin but I also saw something here that said they were not worth it as a table duck? I really cannot wait for eggs and some duck fat for cooking.....
They are outside @ four weeks old, a little early but it has been warm here and they have a great place to cuddle up and stay warm, so they are fine in their run & house.... cute as can be.
