He’s gorgeous! 🤩 Love his color and his mane and tail look so silky!
Thank you. Dirt has the "hair gene" that is referred to by Rocky people. That tail would be longer but 2 years ago while getting a bath he back up and stepped on his tail that was dragging the ground. Ripped out a good chunk of it. Oh some tears were shed that day darn him. My dad is in charge of his mane and tail. I want to braid it all the time but he does not want braids in it knotting it up. My mother named him Dirt, me and my daughter joke she should have named him Fabio.

Thank you! I saw you posted a Tennessee walking horse, my grandma has one of those as well

Ooo he’s stunning!

Thank you! 🥰
I bet your grandma's is beautiful. We are a gaited horse only family here. Even if it is my daughters my dad sometimes rides him to exercise when she is busy and cannot. His one rule is if it is brought here it had better have a smooth gait.

3 times the night before, 3 different shampoos plus a baking soda and vinegar rinse on her tail, sheetfed her for the night abd decided to wash her mane and tail again the morning of 🤣 I got so many comments on how hard it must have been
I suspected something like that! It's always the gray ones that get the dirtiest.
It is a favorite as well. Dirt was a bit wild as a baby. I've known him since he was about 16 months old. We bought him when he was about 20 months old. I adore the calm gentleman he has become, but I do miss my baby Dirt at times.
Babies are so fun! I volunteer at a horse rescue that specializes in orphan foals, and the antics they get up to are hilarious.

This was right before one of our recent trail rides. Thomas has always been very easily spooked, which has made him challenging on the trails sometimes. He did outstandingly well on that ride, the other horse actually spooked a couple times and I was able to go forward with Thomas without him spooking at all. It was amazing to see so much progress from him

This is him, he has some foot issues and has been lame off and on for the last several years, but he’s a sweet horse

I can understand that! Smooth gaits are really nice

Thomas coming to greet me in the field. Every time I go visit them the first thing I do is go find the horses in the field. Once he sees me he walks/lopes to me every time without fail
