Can we submit pictures of house plants outside? I know that is worded weird, so let me explain: is it okay if I put my plants outside for this contest and take the pictures there instead of in the house? I feel like there would be better background scenery.

I checked our rules again and see nothing about location of the house plant, just that it has to be a house plant.

Gymnocalycium spegazzanii

I've grown this species for a couple years now, not my oldest cacti but a genus I'm comfortable with growing. I bought this location data form from Mesa Gardens, one of the best nurseries for cacti and succulents in the US!

Pinguicula 'Huahuapan' x rectifolia x moranensis 'Alba'

This is a hybrid that I made a couple years back and it started blooming this year, this genus is carnivorous and eats bugs like fungus gnats!

Beautiful plant! Ive heard Mesa Gardens is one of the best places to buy cacti! I may give them a try next spring.

One of the nicest registered cultivars I know of, the flower is blindingly bright and really big for the genus!

Beautiful plant! Ive heard Mesa Gardens is one of the best places to buy cacti! I may give them a try next spring.

They are incredible, they only sell plants for a small portion of the year so keep watch on their instagram or social media (I think they have stuff right now!). They sell seeds year round though and are an incredible source if you're serious about growing these plants. Oh and super affordable too! I have some really old plants from them actually
