So gorgeous! :love

May I ask where you get them? I had one a long time ago that didn't make it after it was done blooming, and someone said you don't get them at Walmart.
Thank you!🥰

Absolutely! All the ones pictured actually came from Shaws😂 I do have one that came from a local greenhouse. But I don't seem to see much of a difference between them! The only clear difference is most orchids that come from big chains have a moss plug around their roots which will kill the plant if it's not removed, I always check all my new orchids for one when they are done blooming or if they are failing to thrive when I bring them home!

I've always heard they are extremely finicky plants and I have had a few fail to thrive... But I find the less you do with them the better!

Mine are all in clear pots with drainage in the sides and bottom. They are kept in indirect sunlight next to an eastern facing window. I water them when the orchid bark is dry, about twice to three times a month. I water once a month with orchid fertilizer when they are not in bloom. They typically bloom in the early spring though I have had them go two years without blooming. I typically repot/replace bark once a year to every two years depending on how they are looking. You want to repot them after they are done blooming or they can drop all of their blooms.

I love my orchids and they are one plant I can most of the time keep alive❤️

Feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to answer😊

How do you get them to grow?! I have three types of croton and they are alive and putting new leaves off but my two year old one is not that big. </3
I don’t do anything special, at least I don’t think I do! Mine both live in a west facing window (garden door) all year long. I repot yearly and water when about 50-75% dry. Mist weekly. I never knew how much to fertilize but after watching a few YouTubers (I really like Sheffield Made Plants) I add fertilizer to each watering can but it’s like 1/2 strength dilution so they are always getting a little. Oh and aside from weekly misting every now and then I put them in the shower and give them a good hosing off.

Share a pic of yours!!

I'll have to get pics, one of the three is recovering after it got lost in my chaos of winter and storm sorting of plants.. and I have a few cuttings that need to be potted soon. I sadly have no proper windows though so it's all grow lights for me. (though I adore that channel haha he's how I found the grow lights I use and love so much actually. XD)

I just started the water fertilizer so maybe that'll make a difference.

New mini succulent in my collection... Haworthia! and it must be happy here, sending up an itty-bitty flower.

@TwoCrows Hi! Would you post a photo of your Haworthia? How long have you had it, and how many times have you repotted it?

I don't have your particular haworthia, but I do have multiple haworthias of a different group.

In the three (?) years I've been keeping haworthia, the actual mother plant itself would not need repotting. These plants are crazy about producing offshoots; counted 40+ from my biggest one this year alone! If you wish to keep the offshoots with the mother plant, then repotting will be necessary eventually. I usually remove them and plant them in my garden beds, so I've never had to repot mine, merely provide new soil. I must admit, especially with your type of haworthia, the method of leaving the offshoots/pups on leads to a very pretty plant.

@TwoCrows grows hers like that, and it's gorgeous! She'll also be able to give you more specific advice for your particular type of haworthia, since I have haworthia cooperi

@Debbie292d @mararva @fluffycrow

I need to get a current photo, I repotted this in June, but this plant is about 5 years old, it was given to me by someone that had neglected it. It started out a bit bigger than yours @mararva It grew into this monster as I did not remove the babies. Haworthias love to continuously bloom! He's in a shallow 12" pot. I will have to go count but there is probably 15+ off shoots from the original plant which is the tall one in the back.

Beautiful! Thank you for sharing. Mine is in such a tiny pot that it probably needs to be moved in the next few months.
