This is Night Night, the Barred Rock, and Upsidedown Girl, the Easter Egger, they're both finishing a molt.

This is Whitey, I think she's a Delaware. She just started her 1st molt.

I have an EE that was doing that a week ago. Little faker. She still isn't laying. I think she just wanted to remind herself what those boxes were for.

well I also saw her sister in there, she did not molt, but was taking a break, she was in the nest box decorating her back with straw.

Sexy is fully feathered now and looking great, but still not laying!!! It's been over a month!!

I have an Easter Egger going through a crazy molt right now. I'll try to get some pics up of her.

My EE doesn't look bad going through her molt...until you realize she only has 1 tail feather!

it's always so funny. I had 3 that had 1 feather this year. Then my BR just ended up rumpless and looked miserable all the time. She had a slow agonizing molt and puffed herself up to look more normal, but everyday she lost a few feathers. Now she looks a bit scruffy and of course, still miserable.
