Look mom, no tail! Seriously though, I always feel sorry for them without their tail feathers. I'm sure something feels pretty wrong back there. Thanks for entering! :)
My Roomlost all his tail feathers when I was working out west last month - I was watching every day on the barn cam - singing ‘another one boys the dust’ 😊

I came home to this - a lopsided Roo!

Aww...poor guy! He's gorgeous even during a molt! :love

Yea she’s not very pleasant right now. Won’t come near me at all, no matter what treats I have. Makes it near impossible to get her to come back to the run! :rant
Poor bird. How is she around her flock mates? If she's not coming near you, even for treats, she might be having issues with her flock-mates. You might want to separate her until she is done.

(If you like, you can share more pictures of her as she molts. ;) )

You have the prettiest flock, ❤ he is gorgeous!! :love
Thanks that’s very lovely to say 😊 - mostly mutts but they are highly entertaining.

Tho right now everyone is on various stages of moulting poor chooks.

Thank you! I was a bit worried about her shunning food so much, but I am able to get her to eat some warm mash mixed with egg and canned chicken in the evenings before bed. She’s doing well around the flock, as far as I can tell. I’ve just seen them preening together, in fact. I think it’s just me!! But I will follow your advice and keep a closer eye on her just incase. Thanks again 🙂 Looking better, rumpless, but better!
