Not the best quality pic, sadly.

And that's Winnie and Ledo in the background eating some extra eggs that we had🙄

Hi there everyone!!! Here is my sweet hen Miss Pickety. She is the smallest of our 12 hens and when she molts all the other ladies bully her from food and water so I bring in and keep her in a crate for a few weeks then put her back in the coop at night on day 14. Have had to do this for 2 years now. She's so sweet. Just drops all her feathers at one time 😂. This photo was taken October 26, 2024. Thanks!

What breed is she? I had a BR who needed to be separated on her molts too. When your girl started, there must have been feathers everywhere! 🤣

She is a barred rock. 💕 Yep! That coop was full of feathers. I watched her real close and could see her getting chased off of food and water so my dear husband ran interference for me with the rooster and I scooped her up and got her inside. She stays in our laundry room that has no heat vents so the inside and outside temperatures aren't extremely different. I always put her back out at night after a few weeks so the other birds don't see her get re-deposited and then she's not picked on. So far it's worked and I'm super thankful 💕
