Open Contest Official BYC Contest—Post Your Best (Worst) Chicken Molt Pictures - 2025

Janice, a bantam mix between Dutch (mother) and Naine de Tournaisis (father).
She never moulted so poorly before.
Its obvious she is not feeling well. Poor thing. I hope she gets over it quickly.

The chicken in the back is a bantam Amrock who came running by when I made the photo. 😆

Janice, the day before ^^.
Poor girl, but congrats to her molting. Keep taking pictures of her! She looks like she's losing them fast.

Poor wee dear, glad her lady bits are at least covered somewhat! I have three more startimg to moult heavy.

**Not an entry**

Carol (Burnette) started molting a year ago.

She's about 90% back to normal now. They've been on Kalmbach's Flockmaker 20% protein for a couple of years, so she's had that all along. Frizzles take forever!

Yep my poor wee little Clyde seems to
be permanently moulting it seems. But he’s getting his tail back now
finally! He’s a silkie frizzle (we all think he looks like he stuck his beak in an electrical outlet hahaha)

A photo bomb - lucky catch! Poor wee girl, moulting is so hard on them!
