You may be able to order what you want by talking to the person in charge of ordering chicks at your farm store and save shipping cost/anxiety and small order charges. From what I've heard though, TSC isn't good at providing reliably identified breeds/sexes so I would go with some other store if you do want to try this.

Oh we were going to order around 30. Is that a small order? I’m ordering keets from Cackle too.

I wanted to hatch my own eggs that I was thinking of buying but my husband is the one that makes the drives and he’s been making a lot lately and he’s kinda worn out and doesn’t wanna travel over an hour one way to get eggs 😂

I just checked and apparently small is considered under 15. Some hatcheries it’s under 25.

It depends on the time of the year too. McMurrays has a 25 chick minimum earlier when it is cold. Their minimum right now is 15 chicks.
That’s true too!! Good point. I wonder if Cackle’s changes too...

That’s why I like Meyer because they don’t have a small order charge and ship as few as 3. Although their prices and shipping are higher so it might not actually be cheaper. Not sure.
