Sounds like a fun time. Did the DS stay behindWe already crossed the Ohio....coming up on the Cumberland and Tennessee bridges then just have to snuggle up to the Mississippi and will be there!!!![]()
Wow! I miraculously sold two batches locally. One from about 50 miles into Illinois who was working a job in town and I took them to him and another from near Lake of the Ozarks who I met part way. The rest were all shipped. No all local sales. People have been buying 20-30 at a time. Quail are selling quick too.
TSC and the other farm here can’t keep up so all their customers get sent to us.
I’ve slowed down though. I plan on only selling about 100 more I’m up to 20 for today.
Some eggs come from friends. We have received 150 from our friends alone. They give us 3-4 dozen at a time.
Me tooOh lol I was confused![]()
Ahh okay that makes sense haha you should keep the polish crosses.Because I am switching to the Deathlayer crosses. All the ones from TSC manager sold. I’m down to Squatch babies and my Polish Deathlayers. I haven’t put the Polish for sale, I’m waiting to see how their heads feather out.

How many chickens do you have?Wow! I miraculously sold two batches locally. One from about 50 miles into Illinois who was working a job in town and I took them to him and another from near Lake of the Ozarks who I met part way. The rest were all shipped.
My real plan annually, is to keep all the chicks I hatch in January, February and March - then sell everything thereafter but the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry.
I also like to hatch chicks later in the year for myself since I have to catch every bird above 4 months of age on the property in August for NPIP testing. I also like birds that start laying early in the year and young cockerels don't suffer as much from frostbite in our bitter winters.
