These chicks are 7 weeks old and mama will not let them go I still catch her with a couple of them under her once in awhile. I had 2 other broodies who left their babies 2 weeks ago but Delilah refuses.

Wow that's a lot of chicks for such a little mama. Delilah must be related to my Sebright. Her chicks are now 10 weeks old & 2xs her size. She did stop sleeping on them & spends some time apart now that she's laying again. Yet, she is often seen just hanging out with her "babies."

This is Ruffles our Buff Orpington with her babies. She went broody and we got eggs from the farmers market for her to hatch. She is a great momma!
