When I took this photo, I didn't have anything I collected my eggs in regularly. I would put eggs in my pockets and bring them inside and put them in a bowl or a pot. I had been collecting these in a pot, because I knew I was going to be making deviled eggs in a couple days for a party, so when the time came, I just added water, and boiled!

Later on, I got myself an actual container, but I still collect eggs in my pockets. I have, unfortunately, made a few pocket omelets this way! But the ones that make it inside to this pretty container sure do make a lovely sight, and make it easy to ensure I'm eating the oldest eggs first!

These days I use an actual carton for overflow. At one point I had collected more than 85 eggs and they were just everywhere, in the spiral, in the egg carton, in bowls, etc. Its so nice to get to share the abundance with family and friends when we can!
