Actually, no, Meanie was the Black Star and Blackey was the Wyandotte. I know, very confusing! Definitely should have been the other way around, but they were named as chicks. Meanie was only mean as a chick. Blackey grew up to be a grumpy old hen who was mean to the younger birds.
