Actually, so far and knock on wood, the g-bread barn is starting off pretty well. So far, lol.

LOL, those pictures weren't mine, I just found a couple that represented my g-bread experiences.

So far, the barn is holding together. But since the kit didn't include near enough icing, I need to make some up to finish. The barn-raising continues!!!

With our turkey kit, we made egg white and powdered sugar icing and it sets up like cement.

Just beat egg whites until stiff and stir in powdered sugar until it is a thick paste, and put in a baggie. Snip off a tiny corner of the bag and you are good to go.

Can't wait to see the barn!

Ok, got my g-bread barn kit opened up. One of the icing packages (the black colored one) is missing and the walls are warped like crazy, lol. But, the 4 walls are up and holding so far!

Since we don't plan on eating any of it, I used craft glue to do the walls...hoping that dries and holds better than royal icing.

The one on the right looks broody to me, LOL.
You could consider a double entry...GB Coop and also enter them in the decorated chicken cookies..

I baked my gingerbread house this afternoon and for the first time did some roll out dough for a nest box - and nothing broke....yet

And got gum paste stuff mixed and ready to try....hmmmm...something different

And if time is on my side a real new adventure....

I really wanted to see it.

oh! i got pictures! LOL, its not pretty, but they had fun, i have actually been told to get them more candy/frosting when i get out of work today so it sounds like they are working on it again tonight
