I have to begin my water hauling. If my count is correct I need to take 11 gallons out so 3 trips. Then there are 2 trips with feed.

Desire to freeze my butt off......nope no ✔
I am lazier than you are. I put a frost free hydrant in the coop and built the coop around it. This eliminates the need to carry water.

I built the coop big enough to store extra feed in the coop. This eliminates the need to carry feed to the coop.

If I was out in the country you bet I would do it that way!

I have 4 coops, 2 have electric.
My big coop has a storage space that in theory I could keep feed. I have to make mash every morning for my cross beaked orpington. It ended up easier to just keep it inside.

Anytime the hose is not frozen I am grateful.

Everyone is tended and looking good out there. Our "feels like" is 1°F. 🤔 Cold is cold.
