It is down to 10°F. It is a bone chilling cold this morning. There is a light skiff of snow too. Maybe an 1/8".If I was out in the country you bet I would do it that way!
I have 4 coops, 2 have electric.
My big coop has a storage space that in theory I could keep feed. I have to make mash every morning for my cross beaked orpington. It ended up easier to just keep it inside.
Anytime the hose is not frozen I am grateful.
Everyone is tended and looking good out there. Our "feels like" is 1°F.Cold is cold.
