I finally got up off the couch and made mr muddy a milkshake, fed the critters and collected my duck egg, took out the trash, started dinner, and wrapped a couple more presents

My shame is greater. I’ve been experimenting with just how old an egg can be where I can eat it and not get sick and still be decent tasting. So far some from beginning of August are still good. I have some from July that I’m still debating on trying or giving to my dog.

I have a dozen quail eggs that I’m not really sure how old they are but I think they’re from late summer/early fall. They’re jumbos so I was saving them since my birds stopped laying

The ones I float tested didn’t float. They barely lifted. I’ll float some tomorrow and take a pic.

I keep em in the back of the fridge. Not sure if that helped conserve them

If they aren't floating I think they probably good. I got a bunch of pea eggs from August that I didn't set and didn't refrigerate, I bet those float!
