I have 7 & they are my first chickens. I have some concerns 1 might be a roo. My intention is to give them a couple of years before adding any more to stagger peak laying. Though I'm not known for my self restraint...

You better not be with the county, asking how many chickens people have! Lol I'm kidding of course. I have 6, they are my 6 original chickens that I got in April and I'm allowed to have 10 in town. So I'm definitely thinking about building them more space and getting another 6
