Official BYC Poll: How Many Different Egg Colors Are You Getting (or plan to be getting) From Your Flock This Year?

Dark brown (some speckled), many shades of light brown, cream, blue, green, from in the same order, Rustic Rambler, GLW/Barred Rock/ISA brown/Australorp, Sapphire Gem, EE, OE.

Adding a few white layers, some more colored layers, and Welsummer for color variety, plus a ton of light brown breeds picked for awesome temperament.

Probably anywhere from 10 to 20 different "colors" (shades), ranging from White and cream to green/blue to dark speckled brown.

No eggs yet but we should have a nice blend of colors. We have 2 EEs, 1 whiting true blue, 2 cuckoo Marans, 1 speckled Sussex, 1 sapphire gem, 2 buff Orpingtons, 2 Bielefelders, 2 salmon favorelles, 2 Wyandottes. We'll see what we get!!! Excited to have a rainbow!

My flock from last year.
I’ll have a totally brand new flock this Year due to a mink and not being fully predator proofed..
but, we are now, and only 7 of my ladies passed away, the remainder went to another farm (I had 23 left)..
I hope the new flock this year has some pretty eggs like my last!

We have an EE that occasionally lays greenish eggs (she's old, though)
Then there's the cream eggs from the Silkies
Dark brown eggs from Welsummers/Marans/ Barnevelder
Light brown eggs from the rest of the breeds - there's a LOT of those shades!
