I've had three hens who lived to ten years of age. Two were very small black Jersey Giants, and one was a Belgian d'Uccle. Currently my oldest hen is five years old, another Belgian d'Uccle.
We've had losses to predation, reproductive issues, and some birds move to other homes. Our roosters can't stay forever and continually breed their offspring, so many of them are rehomed after a few years.
