I have two dogs outside, Moose (a blue heeler/pit bull mix) and Ranger (unknown). Neither of them really pay any attention to the chickens when they are free-ranging. Except, Moose will likely lay down near where-ever they are. Of my two inside dogs, Coco (a shih-poo) could care less. He ignores them. However, Bandit (Boston Terrier), is a TERROR. We cannot let him out off leash or he absolutely terrorizes the chickens. Remarkably, I also have 5 outdoor cats, who also typically ignore my chick sweeties.

Our standard poodle is a bird killer, doesn't matter the size or type. We have had to rescue our rooster from our boxer pup twice, so I think he would kill them if he could.
My service dog is a standard poodle. He is well trained, as expected, but instinct is a bugger to fight! His intention isn't too hurt them, but to retrieve them for me. But regardless of his intentions, that's not what I want him to do, and injuries can very easily result as well as the stress factor on them.

I’m lucky my lab mix loves to hang out and watch over the flock. The Australian shepherd ignores them and doesn’t bother but he won’t sit with them for hours like the lab.

My little dog is about 14 yrs now. Hes not really interested in the chickens really but he is interested in whats in their bowls. If he gets too close or crowded my rooster Pepper keeps a close eye on him, gives him the stink eye, even going so far as occasionally pulling his fur on his rear end. But Simon doesn't do anything but walk away .

Would harm if she could and today she could. Today, 4 month old Toffee (cream legbar) brazenly abandoned her sister in the chicken safe zone, crossed no-man's-land, and flew over the 6 foot wire dog yard fence, seemingly right into the waiting maw of Nymeria, our 11 year old mutt (likely terrier/husky). The murder (suicide?) was witnessed by 5 year old cairn terrier, Poe. Anxious and unreliable by nature, Poe denies any involment. Toffee is survived by her 4 month old sister, Cocoa, her mother, Chip, her aunties, Pearl, Inky, and Sparky, and evil aunt Quicksilver.
