I had white (pyle) Dutch. They are not a white breed but one of the admitted colours BYC addicts have been breeding for show purposes.

3 Dutch bantams of my first flock. Pic from 2014. Tommy, the pyle coloured cockerel. Zoë the pyle pullet in front and Pino the lavender Dutch in the back.

Chickens are raised for various reasons, and some people choose them based on practical reasons, while others choose them for aesthetic reasons. There are many colors to choose from, like black, blue, white, red, lavender, brown, silver, and so on. There are a variety of chicken breeds with a variety of colors, whether you raise chickens commercially, ornamentally, as livestock, or as pets.

In this poll, we're looking for those who prefer chickens with the color of clouds. Which of These White Chicken Breeds Do You Have?

Feel free to post pictures of your white-feathered chickens (along with breed names). We'd love to see them. Place your vote above, and please elaborate in a reply below if you chose "Other".

I have a Columbian Rock Bantam...

‘Tila (short for “Attila the Hen”, because she’s crazy vicious when she chases down voles/mice and eats them😳) our white silkie, courtesy of Tractor Supply.

How does she do with those cold MN winters? I would love silkies but i’m afraid they will do poorly as a subflock with my heavier (and dominating) adults.
