I've got a White Leghorn named Spicy Nugget, white Silkie rooster named Dr Pecker, and a Light Brahma named Henrietta who just won my son Grand Champ in egg production at our 4-H county fair!

This little is a barnyard mix. Dad was a Sapphire Gem. Possible moms are: ISA Brown, Golden Comet, Welsummer, Sapphire Gem, Black Sexlink, or Cream Legbar(roo) x Black Copper Marans. Any guesses on who the mom could be to get a white chick?

If I understand right, that would have to be recessive white so both father and mother would have had to be carrying a copy with no way to tell until you get a surprise white chick.

I was trying to research to find which breeds may have recessive white genes, but no results. Chicken genetics are quite interesting.
