He's gorgeous! :love
Thank you!
He hatched on Easter (so still a baby)—eggs were shipped over 3,800 miles (if my math is still right). He popped out of a rich, dark chocolate-colored egg, complete with those adorable fuzzy feet!

To this day, I can still carry him around the property with one arm (he does make funny noises)—he just treats me like Im his personal sightseeing tour as I want him to get used to the rest of the places he can roam with his gal-pals.

He sounds like such a sweetheart ❤️, he's special and he knows it! 😍

one second later... jumped on my lap for health check. Suki (he) loves health checks.
Where are you people getting these loving, tolerant chickens?! I think mine would rather succumb to maggot-infested flesh wounds than have me briefly check their feet and bums. I swear I did not chase them with a chainsaw in the brooder.

Mine won’t let me touch them with a ten foot pole. This is after I cook entrees specially for them and give them treats off my dinner plate.

My husband says I’m a bird whisperer… and honestly, at this point, it’s less of a joke and more of a job title. If it has feathers, it loves me—sometimes a little too much. 😅

To your point—yeah, I guess technically I did expose them to a "chainsaw" in the brooder… well, it was a circular saw in the utility room, and lots of horror movies in the living room, but close enough.
